Air Conditioning Installation

Split, multi-split and ducted air conditioning installed across Victoria and NSW by licensed trades. Systems sized to the room, with rebate eligibility checked first.

A well-chosen air conditioner heats as efficiently as it cools, which matters more in southern Australia than most people expect. Reverse cycle systems are the cheapest way to warm a room in Victoria and much of New South Wales — cheaper than gas ducted heating, and far cheaper than plug-in electric.

The difference between a system that performs for fifteen years and one that irritates you by year two is almost never the brand. It is sizing and placement.

Systems we install

Single split systems

One outdoor unit, one indoor head. The workhorse of Australian homes and the right answer for a living area, a bedroom or a converted garage. Quiet, efficient, and quick to install.

Multi split systems

Several indoor heads running from a single outdoor unit. Ideal where you want independent control of three or four rooms without the cost and ceiling work of a ducted system, and where roof space or external wall space is limited.

Ducted systems

Whole-home heating and cooling through ceiling outlets, zoned so you are not paying to condition rooms nobody is in. The most expensive option up front and the most comfortable to live with, provided the zoning is designed properly rather than bolted on.

Mini VRF

For larger homes and small commercial sites where several spaces need independent control with tighter efficiency than a standard multi split can deliver.

Why sizing matters more than the badge

An oversized unit is the most common mistake we see on quotes from other companies, and it is an expensive one. Too much capacity means the system reaches temperature fast, shuts down, restarts, and cycles all day. You get uneven temperatures, more noise, more wear, and a higher bill than the correctly sized unit would have given you.

We size against the actual room — floor area, ceiling height, glazing, orientation, insulation and how the space is used. Then we tell you the capacity and why. If a smaller and cheaper unit is the correct answer, that is the one you will be quoted.

Placement

  • Indoor heads positioned for airflow across the room, not blowing straight down onto a couch
  • Outdoor units sited for clearance and serviceability, away from bedroom windows and neighbouring boundaries where possible
  • Condensate drainage run properly, which is the single most common cause of call-backs in this trade
  • Pipe runs kept short and tidy, because every extra metre costs efficiency

Rebates on air conditioning

Replacing an old or inefficient system with a high-efficiency reverse cycle unit can attract support in both states, under different schemes.

Victoria covers air conditioning upgrades under the Victorian Energy Upgrades programme, creating Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates. New South Wales covers them under the Energy Savings Scheme, creating Energy Savings Certificates, with some activities also touching the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme because cooling load drives the summer evening peak.

We check eligibility before quoting and apply any discount to the price rather than sending you away to claim it. Our accredited partners create and lodge the certificates. See rebates and eligibility for the detail.

Installation

A standard split system takes two to four hours. Multi split and ducted installations take longer and we will give you a realistic timeline at quote rather than an optimistic one. All work is carried out by licensed electrical and refrigeration trades, certified, and documented in your handover pack.
